CENTRAL SENSITIZATION AND TMD: THE CONNECTION TO MYOFASCIAL PAIN, FIBROMYALGIA, HEADACHE, MIGRAINE AND RELATED DISORDERS.
I have frequently discussed the relation between headache, TMD and central sensitization. The trigeminal nerve is a frequent culprit in development of central sensitization which is why neuromuscular dentistry can be such an effective treatment.
